Easiest way to curl hair with straightner?

i have an amazing straightner and my sister can curl her hair with it but for some reason i have a hard time and my hair always ends up just being straight.

take your flat iron, grab a piece of hair close to you scalp. give the flat iron a 1/4 of a turn and pull straight down. you should get your hair to curl from that.Easiest way to curl hair with straightner?
Ahh, well they way i do it works for me perfectly fine. *note: prior to both these methods, i use heat protectant products on my hair, so i dont damage it too much.





question is, did you want it like telephone wire curls of just a soft wavy look?





For the tube-like curls, you take a small chunk of hair and hold it out vertically from your head. take your straightener and clamp it over you hair fairly close to the roots ( be careful not to burn yourself ) and twist your straightener slightly so your hair wraps halfway around the straightener. then slowly pull the straightener downwards. IT IS IMPORTANT that you dont rush through it or else 1, it will hurt and two, you wont get the right curl.





As for wavy hair, do the same thing taking you hair virtically, and instead of wrapping it around just move your straightener downward but slightly turning your straightener to the left and the right at a steady pace as you work your way down. i like to make the ends straight but just pulling the straightener straight down for the last inch or so. if you want it all wavy, then just continue all the way down.





probably the most important advice is to take your time, BUT NOT SO MUCH SO THAT YOU BURN YOUR HAIR.

u use it as u would a curler. take a piece of ur hair and with the straitner flaten that piece of hair when u get to tip of piece of hair roll hair up in the straightner like u would do with a curling iron (yes it sound wierd but the heat from straightner will reach hair) then pull the straightner out slowly but downward like in a spiral, it should curl. i do the same, my straightner is amazing n curls my hair as well
id explain it but you probably wouldnt understand what i meant without seeing it in action. i learnt to curl my hair with straightners last month and when i first did it my hair looked a bit weird but now ive got the hang of it and my hair curls really well. you just need to practice.

well my first suggestion is to ask your sister to help you or show you how by demonstrating on your hair. other suggestion is to bring the straightener to the almost wend of your hair and twist it inward. and coil it. hold it for a while. and do that with each layer or what not and your hair should be stunning.
i have african american hair and the way i curl my hair with a straighter is put it on the peice of hair like u are about to straighten it and rotate it as u go down. dont roll it up because the the curl will come out looking square-ish

dont go all the way down with the straightener. when youre a quarter of a way down on straightening your hair just flip the straigtener 180degrees and hold it like that for like five seconds and then go down slowly. good luckk!

okay it is weird... you have to hold the straightener with your thumb up. then twist it inward like towards your head and just pull down. the tighter you pull the curlier it will be. try that!

while you are straightening twist the straightiners around ( toward your head ) then slip it out without unfolding the twist and theere should be a curl left there!

A hair straightener is meant to STRAIGHTEN your hair, not curl it. I know your sister might be able to do it..but maybe its just her kind of hair that will work with it. Try getting a curler maybe?
