How do you get pretty loose wavy hair from straight hair? (picutres)?

i have naturally straight hair, and even though i like it, i also really like people who have nautrally curly/wavy hair. whenever i try to curl my hair , it turns out nice but it always looks really really overdone.. because my curls obviously dont look natural and my hair curler makes them too tight. i also try curling them with a hair straightner, which works. . except it makes them all the same thickness and stuff.. which also odesntt make them look natural. also, braiding doesnt work because it makes them look to crimped..and i just want it to look naturallyy wavy :) is there any way to do this?

i searched ';pretty loose curls'; on photobucket and this is kinda what i would like my hair to look like ...

well a few thing's could work.

you could put your hair in braids (not just two, a lot of braids to get your whole head and not have a lot of flat area) right when you get out of the shower when your hair is still wet and put hair spray in your hair. wake up the next morning and put a little more hair spray in and then take the braids out carefully.

Another idea would be to get some hair rollers and sleep with them in your hair every night.

Another idea is to scrunch it right after you get out of the shower if your hair scrunches good.

Or you could just buy a really good salon hair curler and that would probably would. Just work with it to see how curly you like it.. and if you like it less curly leave it in the iron for only a few seconds.

Also if you go to www.youtube.com I am sure you can find how to if you search 'loose curls tutorial' there will probably be a lot of video's for you to watch!
