How to curl hair? as i never done it before?

Hi all. please can you help me

I want to have a different look. am bored with flat straight hair,

How do i curl my hair? which is best to use? rollers or ceramic curl straightner thing, am not sure.

Also I will be curling it myself - as in no one to help me.

how long do i have to leave it for for hair to curl?

do I have to curl it in damp hair? or dry and straight? which is better? to i have to use lots of hair spray for curls to stay?

i like to have the bottom of the hair curled only - well from the ears to the bottom of hair.

thanks everyoneHow to curl hair? as i never done it before?
I have the same problem, my hair is sooo flat and lifeless, so i curl it. Heres what i do:

1. Wash hair

2. Apply a little mousse and blow dry

3. Divide hair into layers, and taking the bottom layer divide into sections (i divide into 4 sections because my hair is really thin)

4. A strand at a time using a ceramic tong, curl the hair round, pull quite taut and hold for 15 seonds, slowly release.

5. Do the same with the rest of the strands in that layer, and spritz with a holding hairspray.

6. Take down another layer and repeat, carry on with this technique until all the layers have been curled and give one final spray of hairspray.

Do not curl your fringe if you have one!

Good luck, it might take a bit of practice but will look fab in the end!How to curl hair? as i never done it before?
what about rag rolling it?

Best rollers to use is the plastic magnetic snap on rollers. You can roll your hair wet/dry with these roller. These rollers will hold your curl much longer and they will look much better than if you use a heated hair appliance. You do not not use hair spray. you will make your hair feel and look hard, and then when you try to comb out your hair your hair will break off. You can use a bottle of Lotta Body Setting Lotion to wet/damp hair then roll it up. Your curls will feel soft. Also they will have plenty of body, shine bounce and will last all day.
i would say use a curling tongs, on dry hair, wrap ir around the tongs (keeping them vertical) and put lots of hair spray on, leave it bout 5 seconda nd see if it works and gradually build up the time till it holds properly. products and hair spray are the key! or I like dream hair curling stuff its a spray, but kinda expensive if your only playing once.
Use big hot rollers. Dry your hair first, when you put the rollers in spray them a bit with hair spray or I like to use Redken hot sets. Leave em in for ten to fifteen minutes.....
use curling tongs on dry hair section then wind up the shaft of hair, unwind tongs gently, and let curl just hang use hair spray to keep in place.its all just a matter of practicing good luck.
use ghd irons they give a fantastic curl n last for ages............hard to explain how to do..............pop in to ur local hairdressers n ask for a demonstration.
You can use hot rollers or a curling iron, but which ever you use, your hair should be dry.
